The MC20 does looks significantly better tho, no comparison, imagine it had the 458 v8 like the old maseratis well actually a much better sounding version fo tge 458 engine.

Price and power are the two biggest factors and the Z06 just dominates the competition.Even cars TWICE its price arnt safe 😂😂 The corvette is no doubt a threat for almost all Europe has to offer. The future is looking exciting.

Great job by the production team for putting this together with 2 cool cars even though it's not an ideal 'showdown'. I'm sure it's not easy. Also, the MC20 looks so much better in real life than in pictures and video, it's crazy.

Unfortunately exhaust sound on the Z06 Z07 in Europe is completely neutered to comply with EU regulations, and particular filters. Practicality wise the HTC version of the Z06 has great luggage capacity, even with the top down, which makes it all the more appealing as a GT.

Going on about the steering wheel that has similar controls to any Ferrari. Where’s the criticism of Ferrari Rory? Come on admit it… if you stay true then Ferrari will not let you drive their cars. Industry shill.

You have earned my subscribe my friend. There is a reason why Ferrari, Lamborghini, Aston Martin, Maserati, Alpha Romeo, & the greatest Japanese car ever made, (the Lexus LFA) all have column mounted paddle shifters!! Shifting mid turn, while drifting, or while doing donuts in wheel mounted paddle shifting vehicle is beyond ridiculous. Column mounted paddle shifters (while far superior) provide the ability to shift at ANY given time with out impediment. On the other hand; wheel mounted paddle shifters.. are exasperatingly doltish to say least .

Isn't the MC20 more of a sporty GT than a track car? Comparison doesn't make all that much sense to me tbh.

I find it odd that Maserati's heritage is praised, and they mention their history in motorsports, while there is no mention of the Corvette being the longest continuously produced model sports car(since 1953) and the Corvette Racing team has been the most dominant sports car racing team in the world for the last 25 years. The amount of race wins and championships against Europe's best is staggering. They have regularly beaten Porsche, Ferrari, Aston Martin, and others with dominant fashion. But I guess people only realize things they WANT to realize!

Ford gt is a v6 production supercar and makes more hp than the mc20. As a corvette fan who doesn't really like the c8s looks, the ford gt is America's best supercar with great looks.

One thing i absolutly disagree with is that the paddle shifters of the ZO7 are mounted to the steering wheel. I think its way better this way and a lot more racy. Thats why Porsche mounted them also to the steering wheel in the gt3 rs…

You should have compared the Z07 to something like a Lamborghini aventador or even better an F8 Tributo, not to that piece of crap made by FIAT. I'm sorry to be brutal but i have to be honest.

You're doing all you can to say the Mas is so good. I just see it slide all over. The Vette sticks like honey on toast. In ten years, Mas is going to look dated, but the Vette will be timeless and will hold value more than the Italian. IMO.

Great Review, the E-Ray is the driver’s car which would provide the combination of the two.

As an owner of a 2023 Z06 convertible, I disagree that it's uncomfortable... I drove my new car from Alabama to Miami nonstop, 10.5 hour drive, super comfortable and I'm 6'1" and 230 lbs. Honestly the Z06 is incredible on every level, so happy with it. I'll add that even a used MC20 convertible will cost over $100K more than a new Z06 convertible. I like the looks of the MC20 a little better, but the sound, performance, tech and price of the Z06 win. In terms of speed, look at Car & Driver's Lightning Lap review from 2023 and the leaderboard - the Z06 is the 6th fastest of all time, only beat by a small time margin by a Senna, GT2 RS Weissach, new GT3 RS, etc. The Z06 is performing at supercar levels.

So what we have learned is the Corvette is angry. With something to prove. And it compares neatly to a middle-of-the range European sportscar.

I got to drive both in the past 6 months, I spent a lot of time with the MC20 in particular. The Z06 is definitively the more well-rounded car if you ask me. I find it just as comfortable as the other C8s (which is very comfortable for me) And the whole time I truly felt as though I was simply lacking too much skill to unlock the true potential of that car. The MC20 is a phenomenal GT and makes all kinds of fun induction noises. And it's actually a pretty confidence inspiring car to drive, even in the wet. But lacks the practicality and dailyability of the Z06. The storage space in nonexistent and has very basic software. It's quite the looker and is insanely fast. But I find it hard to justify the MC20 over a used Huracan unless you just want to be different. Considering that the Z06 is nearly half the cost, it's a no brainer if you ask me.

330 kilograms of downforce... At 186 mph. Which is twice what you would ever do on a race track. Which means, it has almost no downforce. Its weird why they quote it like that.
